D.J.’s journey into real estate began after navigating multiple personal moves as the wife of a former active-duty military service member and pharmaceutical executive. Experiencing firsthand the emotional and logistical challenges of buying and selling homes ignited her passion to guide others through the process with ease and empathy. She went on to build a thriving career at Baird & Warner, where she served not only as a top-performing broker but also as Sales Manager for Legacy Development—leading the sales of over 197 new construction homes in Matteson—and later with Montalbano Homes, expanding her expertise in new development and suburban growth.

In 2015, D.J. partnered with dynamic fellow broker Andre Mitchell to co-found The Dream Team, a powerful real estate alliance rooted in professionalism, passion, and results. Their synergy and shared values created an unstoppable force in the industry, delivering exceptional service to buyers, sellers, investors, and developers alike.

In early 2025, The Dream Team embraced a bold new chapter. In pursuit of greater opportunities and expanded reach, the team made a strategic move to KW One Chicago, Bronzeville office. This transition reflects their collective vision to build deeper relationships with fellow brokers, broaden their service territory, and continue exceeding expectations for clients across Chicago and beyond. D.J. and her team are energized by this new environment and the collaborative culture it fosters—allowing them to grow their impact while staying true to their mission.

Holding a Master of Public Administration and bringing experience from her prior role in higher education as an Instructor and Program Director, D.J. believes deeply in tailored service, ongoing learning, and the power of relationships.
